Microsoft commissioned 12 artists to make desktop images for Windows 7.

The brief was that the image should be positive and work across all age groups, from small children to old people.

My inspiration was a sea turtle in an aquarium which looked as if it was flying through the water. The shell made me think of a landscape. That’s how the flying turtle city came about.

I made this poster for a Coca Cola winter party. The idea was that Coca Cola brings a little bit of summer into your winter. The Cola bottle explodes and the Cola fountain changes from winter to summer.

Nike

Nike made a limited edition book (1,500 books in total) about female athletes sponsored by them. My part was the story of British athlete Nicola Sanders (hurdles and sprint).
The concept was that inside her body, all the different organs have to communicate and work together to achieve the goal. I developed characters for the brain, lungs, heart, nerves, legs, hands etc. The story is told in a comicbook/storyboard style.

This is campaign for Lee Jeans China 2010
6 mannequins of my ‘Hunimlas” characters and big sounds system of elephant call “Jumbo Sound”

I have been commissioned by LEE JEANS and MILK MAGAZINE to create some of characters
and sculpt them in 3D to be exhibited in two vast shows in Beijing and Hong Kong.
The theme of the exhibition is “Own the Moment”.
The first show, a press only one day exhibition, is taking place tomorrow in Beijing at 798 Art Zone D Park.
The second show will take place at Harbour City, Tsim ShaTsui in Hong Kong from the 2nd to the 6th of September and it’s open to the plublic.

Doritos

This is a Doritos UK campaign for a new flavour idea: each pack has chips of two different flavours in it, which are battling for your tastebuds.
I made a character for each flavour: Tenacious T (beef), The Griller (paprika), El Zesto (salsa) and Feathered Fury (chicken). Costumes were made for each character based on my drawings. Doritos made a video for each, then the characters went on a UK tour of life wrestling matches/entertainment shows, in which the audience voted for the winner.

This poster was part of a campaign for PSP 300. My part was to show the PSP’s SatNav function, which one can use when travelling. The illustration shows different countries, and my idea is that with the PSP you hold the world in your hands.

European Union TV Advertising

I made this TV advert for the European Union’s campaign to fight climate change. The idea is that everyone can contribute their part to saving the planet. In the animation, every person that recycles, or saves electricity, becomes a superhero.
The animation was done in collaboration with Studio Plum.

PlayStation Animation

The International Manchester Festival was sponsored by Playstation. I was asked to make an animation based on the song The Man Whose Head Expanded by The Fall. My idea was that everyone in the story should wear a mask on their face (called headglove) so people lose their individual identity.

Little Big Planet

Little Big Planet is a new type of game in which characters and levels are designed by players, who can then share their creations with the world. It’s a platformer with a creative edge – described as the Youtube for games, it’s going to be an endless pixel canvas for your wildest design schemes.
Sony have asked us to seek out the best character design to be incorporated into the retail version of the game. That means, of course, that not only will hundreds of thousands of people see your design, but they’ll be using it throughout the game – a fairly unparalleled way of getting your unique style recognised.
Your character will be in good company – so far, 20 creative visionaries have contributed their level designs, including: Build, Kate Moross, Peepshow, Trevor Jackson and Yuko Kondo.

This is a Converse Japan campaign for basketball shoes M001 and R001. We started in 2009 and it is ongoing.
I developed 5 characters making up a teenage highschool basketball team. Each kid in the team has certain characteristics reflected in the drawings. The team is used on the website and on posters and billboards.
